Training campaigns

Distribute content to an audience, with scheduling and cadence, and track completion per person.

What it is

A training campaign delivers a set of published content items to an audience and generates one delivery per collaborator, where progress, status, and score are tracked. This is not the same as a phishing simulation campaign. Here the goal is to teach, not to test.

It lives under Campaigns (/campaigns).

Create a campaign

The wizard has four steps:

  1. Content: name, description, and content selection (only published items, and at least one).
  2. Audience. Pick everyone, groups, departments, or specific users.
  3. Cadence and period — if any content has “pills,” choose the release cadence (daily, business days, 3×/week, weekly, or continuous); set a start (required) and end (optional).
  4. Review. Check the summary and create.

The campaign starts as a draft, so no deliveries are generated yet.

Publish and operate

In the campaign detail view:

  • While it’s a draft you can edit the audience (and delete the campaign).
  • Publish generates deliveries for the entire audience (active users only) and locks the audience. If any content was archived in the meantime, the publish fails; if the audience resolves to zero people, it is blocked.
  • Complete ends it manually; Cancel stops it. Deliveries remain for history and certificates.
  • Export CSV becomes available after publishing.

The campaign also advances on its own: it becomes active when the start date arrives and completed when the end date passes.

Default delivery behavior

Every campaign created through the interface uses these defaults (not editable on screen today): allow quiz retakes, show correct answers after answering, and do not require sequential completion.

Track completion

The detail view brings cards for schedule, audience, and progress (completion rate, average quiz, reading time) and the deliveries table per person:

Column What it shows
Status pending → delivered → viewed → completed
Pills how many released/completed/overdue
Reading time cumulative reading
Quiz best score, passed/failed, number of attempts

The row expands to show quiz attempts, with wrong answers and explanations.

Anyone who falls for a phishing simulation can be automatically enrolled in a training campaign as remediation. See Risk automation. If the person had already completed it, the delivery reopens for them to retake it as reinforcement.
